A Visit, A Date, A Race, A Car

We have been staying busy! We were so glad to have our dear friends the Muir's visit us from Texas while they were here on a ski trip. It was great to see them!

Alyse and her dad had a really fun Father-Daughter date last week with Kappa. The theme was western. They had a yummy dinner and played some fun relay races. What a cute couple they make! Time with Dad is always fun. Friday Annie got out of school a little early so we could head for St. George and be there in time for dinner. Once there we met up with my oldest daughters family and enjoyed dinner at Cracker Barrel. Below is Annie and Mr. M playing checkers. I'm not sure who won.
Dinner time fun! If you haven't tired their Chocolate Coca Cola Cake for desert we all recommend it.
The next morning bright and early Kim along with my daughter, her husband, and their oldest son headed off to the 10K race. The rest of us hurried along to see them come across the finish line. Joel was too fast for us though and we missed seeing him finish. Below are the spectators.

Here comes Kim!

Mr. M finished strong! I was so proud of him! I also thought it was so sweet how Mr. H ran in with all the family as they were finishing.
Here comes Jenn.

Joel and the kids at the finish line.
Our proud family.

That night dinner was Italian at the Olive Garden. Good food and good company.

Sunday after church we just had to take pictures in front of the beautiful temple there. Spring has come to St. George. The blossoms on the trees are in bloom, the tulips and daffodils are out. It was nice to enjoy some warmer temperatures for a few days.

An important event in Annie's life happened while in St. George. While Alyse and I were at the swimming pool with my oldest daughters family. Kim and Annie went looking for cars just for fun. But they found a deal to good to pass up so Annie is one happy girl to now have a car of her own. ( She did earn it) So we drove two cars home from St George in stead of one. Below is Annie with her new used car.

Nice Ride! I bet Annie is a happy girl. It was really fun spending time in Utah, skiing, seeing freinds, eating at Cafe Rio and In-N-Out. Thanks Alise for spending time with John.
