It Begins Again / Exciting Announcement!

It has begun again. Our lives revolving around volleyball. Annie had her first tournament of the 2010 club season this past Friday and Saturday. She is playing for Club Union again and is on a power team this year. Which means there will be some traveling to other states for tournaments. She is number 24 again. (Her number of choice whenever she gets to choose.) Her favorite thing about this past weekends tournament was beating teams that have friends from her school team playing on them or past team members from other clubs she has played with. In other words if she knows you and is playing against you she is determined to beat you. Kim and I had a lot of fun watching her play.

Great block!
Ace serve.

Go for it.

Another ace.

Watch that ball

Awesome serve!

Great set.

I promise not to bore you with hundreds of pictures from every tournament, but this was the first so I had to share a few.

Now for our exciting announcement. The cute boy below gets to become a big brother in the coming year! Which means we get to be grandparents again. YAY! Congratulations to my son and daughter in law. We can't wait to meet this new little member of our family!

Busy Weekend

Last Friday evening Kim and I went on our date night early so that we could be home by the time these cute girls arrived at our house for a sleep over. My oldest daughter and a few of her friends were having a slumber party. Which just goes to show you that you are never too old for a slumber party! These girls are all busy moms now but there was a time when they were at our house hanging out all the time. I hadn't seem them in years, but they all looked just the same and it brought back many fun memories of having them in our home. I think this should become a yearly tradition!

Saturday morning Kim made breakfast for all the girls and our family and when everyone left Kim and I headed to our grandsons swim meet. We were a bit late but we got to see him and were so proud that he took 2nd place in all the heats he swam in! Below is a picture of him in the awesome swim coat he got for Christmas to keep him warm after he swims. A little later Annie and I headed to another grandsons basket ball game. You played great and it was fun to watch you Mr. M.

Saturday evening we headed down to Orem for a wedding open house for one of our dear friends from Texas. She looked beautiful and it was so fun seeing her, her sister, and cousin.

Sunday after our church meetings we headed up to Ogden for the missionary farewell for my brother in law. It was so good to see him and all of his family. Then we raced back home because all our family was coming over for dinner to celebrate Aprils birthday. We had a fun party!

Happy Birthday April we love you!

After such a busy weekend its nice to have it be Monday and have a minute to look at my e mail and check out blogs!

New Years Eve

We are pretty much all back to our normal schedule. I am always sorry to see the Holidays end. Annie went back to school on Monday Jan. 4. She also started back up with her club volleyball that day. Alyse will start school next Monday but has been working a lot so she is busy. She has also been out to the book store trying to get her books before school starts. I am back to tending grandkids and running kids and grandkids to Dr. appointments etc. But before the Holidays ended most of us had a really fun New Years Eve. We have had a tradition for ever of going to lunch with our kids on New Years Eve. We still do it and now spouses and grandkids are included in that tradition. This year we all met at Training Table for our lunch minus Kim who spent the whole day and night in bed with a stomach bug. ( The good news for him was that New Years Day he was back to normal) The rest of us had a fun time!

New Years Eve night our neighbor and friend Bev had a party at her house. Kim was not able to go but I went over for a little while and enjoyed good friends and good food! Thanks Bev!

Alyse and Annie had decided to spend the evening with each other instead of friends. They went to dinner together and then played games and watched a movie. I came home in time to watch the movie with them. At midnight we toasted the new year with our carbonated apple juice. I hope it is a good year for everyone!
