The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

I love Christmas time! I love remembering our Savior and why we celebrate Christmas! I love all the family time together even though I know some of my children get a little burnt out with all of it! I love that I have a daughter who celebrates her birthday at this wonderful time of the year! So get ready for a long picture blog because we have been having lots of fun! Below are a few pictures from Christmas Eve. The whole family went to see a movie in the early afternoon then we came home and had a late lunch of pizza benders our traditional Christmas Eve fare.

I keep trying to get a perfect picture with my grandkids. This one was pretty good but we were missing one of them.

Christmas morning! Kim and I made breakfast for everyone and then opened presents, played games, and had fun visiting. Christmas is really fun with little ones.

I am still trying for that perfect picture. Which one is the best?

On Sunday we celebrated Annie's birthday with all the family! Is it really possible that she is 17?

Today is Annie's real birthday and we celebrated with lunch at the Cheesecake Factory! Yum it was good! Happy Birthday Annie! I hope you have a wonderful year!

This and That

This is Alyse's picture of the 2 girls that won the Christmas sweater award at the ugly Christmas sweater party Alyse's sorority had. The young women in our ward held one too, but none of them were willing to wear them. Annie took one of mine with her but refused to wear it and said none of the the other girls wore them either. It seems to me it kind of defeats the purpose of the party if no one will wear Christmas sweaters to a Christmas sweater party. My siblings and I had our annual Christmas breakfast together only this year we had lunch instead of breakfast. Annie joined me for it because we went to Mimi's one of her favorite restaurants. Merry Christmas everyone!

Last year at out ward Christmas party we had an adventure coming down Millcreek Canyon in a snow storm. This year our adventure started before we left the house. April's family wanted to attend the party with us, but they were late arriving at our house. We finally all went out to the car to wait for them. After waiting about 15 minutes for them I decided to use the restroom before we left. The house was locked and I didn't have my keys with me so Kim turned off the car and gave me his keys. I unlocked the door but then locked it again so I wouldn't have to do it when I went back out. I had set the keys down went I got in. In my hurry I forgot about the keys until after I went back outside and closed the door. Not only were we locked out of the house but now we couldn't start the car either. It was very frustrating! My oldest daughter called on her cell phone to see what we were doing. She thought it was pretty funny. I told her that later it would be funny but right then it wasn't. After all I had a food assignment for the party that was going to be really late. April and Eric arrived and smart Annie figured out what to do. Alyse was at work and she had a key to the house. We sent April and Eric over to get her key. We were quite late to the party which was up Millcreek Canyon again but it all worked out and we had a good time once we got there!

Do you think they were afraid of Santa? This was the best picture we could get!
By popular demand I am posting more pictures of winter formal so those of you who wanted to see what Annie's date looked like could see him. He is pretty cute don't you think?
