We just got back from a fabulous trip to Lake Powell. What made it fabulous was being with all our family. The trip was not without its problems. Driving down on Monday we had some car problems and spent an hour in Beaver getting our car repaired. The good news was that they had the parts we needed and were able to fix it and we weren't strained on the freeway in the middle of no where. On Tuesday the potty on the house boat would not work. My husband spent most of the day getting it to work. The good news was that he was able to fix it and we didn't have to spend thousands of dollars getting it fixed. Like my son said "Dad is a rock star!" On Wednesday our boat stopped working and we were strained at a beach for a few hours. The good news is that prayers are answered and the boat finally started and we made it back to the houseboat and marina where my husband could get parts and fix it. On Thursday (the Fourth of July) one of the jet skis got a rope caught in it at the beach and it wouldn't start. The good news is we got some good family bonding time in while trying to get it fixed and after a long long time my oldest son in law got the rope free and the jet ski would work again. It was easy to replace the washer and couple of screws that got lost in the water while working on it. Friday nothing went wrong!!! YAY! Saturday while driving home we got a flat tire on our trailer that holds the boat. The good news is we made it to a small town before everything closed for the night. They had the right size of tire and they were able to change it for us. The old tire was totally shredded. We got home safely and no one got injured on the trip. Below is me with my sweet husband who needs a vacation to recover from the vacation.
